A family-owned building and property maintenance company out of Penn Yan, NY. We planted Roots in August of 2022 with a vision to serve the small-scale construction, commercial maintenance, and residential repair needs of the Keuka/Seneca Lake area people.

Our current scope of work includes anything from TV mounting and light fixture replacement to bathroom remodels and deck repairs.

Raised by a resourceful and handy father, Eric has spent most of his life learning the tips and tricks for the work of life that often feels monotonous but truly keeps a family or business running. Eric and Lexi were married in 2017 with dreams of raising kiddos, tending land, and working with their hands alongside a rich community. They spent three years in the mountains of Idaho where Eric served as the Facilities Director of a camp, tending to any and all maintenance, repair, and minor construction needs to keep the facility operating. Having learned much, the Kreider family later left the scenic woodland world behind as they headed for community and opportunity here in Penn Yan, NY where Eric continued working in construction and maintenance until opening Roots in August of 2022. With four kiddos in tow, they feel richly blessed to be establishing relationships with and serving the Keuka/Seneca area with their skills through this company (and, of course, dabbling in their fair share of small scale farming and keeping many bellies fed). They look forward to the years to come serving you, building this business, and establishing Roots here in Penn Yan.
